Methodology

This guide is not a marketing piece dressed up as research. It's compiled from real, paced crawls of 4,125 unique Reddit threads and 17,905 nested comments across 25+ Indian subreddits including r/india, r/AskIndia, r/delhi, r/bangalore, r/mumbai, r/developersIndia, r/StartUpIndia, r/IndiaInvestments, r/PersonalFinanceIndia, r/sales, r/marketing, r/managers, r/AskHR, r/humanresources, r/office and r/WorkReform.

Where we cite a brand sentiment ratio, it's calculated from co-occurrence of brand mentions with positive vs negative language. Where we cite mention counts (e.g. "tea/coffee: 1,137 mentions"), those are gross category mentions across the corpus.

We update the underlying dataset quarterly. Spot something wrong or outdated? Email us and we'll re-verify.
